My younger son gearing up for the big game.
Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?!
So the 2012-13 Season is upon us and WE ARE READY for some football here at the McNamee household. As for Dad the anticipation is about sacking the quarterback, first downs, field goals and touchdowns. And for me, the mom, as exciting as it is to watch my burly boys achieve all of these things, it's the anxiety of watching them achieve all these things that gets me every year. ha! As nerve racking and anticipated as the season is, it brings about another opportunity to trust that all things are in HIS hands- not OURS! A reminder that the God who created the heavens and the earth cares about the anxiety of my heart and about the well being of my babies!
So for whatever sport this fall season has your attention- Let the anxious thoughts be transformed into a trusting spirit.
Cast your cares on God and He will sustain you;
He will never let the righteous fall.  Psalm 5:22

 Oh And may the BEST man win!
Go Raccoons!
This was my oldest son being encouraged by his team last season after he was pulled
from his last game of the season for a suspected concussion...Cast my cares on him!

LET'S JUMP IN A PILE OF LEAVES!!!
Remember the "simple" things in life that brought you so much joy as a child in the fall...What was the BEST thing about falling leaves??? The huge mounding piles they made! I remember spending hours at my aunt and uncle's with my cousins raking these crunchy beauties into piles so high it took a ladder to get us out- well at least it felt like that to me.

Burried Treasure...

Don't forget to cherish this fall with your family. No matter how old they are you can trick the kids into thinking raking is actually fun! We spent some time at this over the weekend. I'm so glad my husband said, "grab the camera!".
